Heating and Cooling

Our District Heating and Cooling plants provide clean heating and cooling solutions using biomass as fuel. The energy is produced in a central station and then distributed through a network to all the users. Such plants can provide heating and cooling for facilities such as residential buildings, hospitals, hotels, sport centres and even entire urban areas. Each network and substation have their own measuring systems enabling users to have complete control over their consumption and billing system.

Heating accounts for 50% of the overall energy consumption and most of the DHC networks still rely heavily on fossil fuels. By passing to biomass as fuel we are producing heating and cooling in a completely ecological and sustainable way, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, lowering CO2 emissions and fostering local economies.


Cogeneration plants produce simultaneously electricity and heat from a single fuel source. The heat that is generated as by-product during electricity production is then used for heating. In this was no energy gets wasted, making the cogeneration plants one of the most cost-effective sources of power, with an astounding efficiency rate of 70% to 80%. As fuel we use biomass, a practically inexhaustible and clean source, reducing in this way the impact on the environment during energy production.

Our Cogeneration plants can be built at any site where electricity and heat are needed. Except for power plants, they are a suitable solution for industries requiring district heating, for hotels, hospitals, gyms, shopping centres, schools, and similar facilities.

Electricity production

The generation of electricity with renewable sources of energy works on similar principles as the conventional methods yet with far less emissions produced in the process. Our electricity plants provide electricity with biomass as energy source, in the form of residues from the industry, agriculture or forestry. In regions where such industries exist, the production of electricity from such sources is highly profitable since the feed material is local and therefore the costs are low.

Biomass, used for energy production purposes, has turned out to be one of the most efficient, a clean and sustainable sources to cover the energy needs across the world. What is considered biomass?

Waste to Energy (WtE)

Waste-to-energy (WtE) or energy-from-waste (EfW) is the process of generating electricity and/or heat from the primary treatment of waste, or the processing of waste into a fuel source – such as methane, methanol, ethanol or synthetic fuels. In order to produce energy from waste, we use are high-efficient technologies, designed in such a way to obtain the maximum amount of clean energy from waste and consume less energy in the process. As a result, every day waste can be converted into an eco-friendly energy source and used to power local communities.
